Samford Cheerleaders In The Quad

Homecoming is quickly approaching, and the Samford University Alumni Association is looking forward to celebrating reunions, offering new events and tailgating on the Quad! On October 27-28, Samford will host the largest alumni event of the year with alumni, friends, parents, students and employees gathering together for a weekend of fun and fellowship.

This year, Friday night has a new twist with the Samford Homecoming Quad Party. This casual, family-friendly event is for alumni, and the entire Samford community, to enjoy time on campus as we officially kick off Homecoming weekend. There will be games, food trucks, a DJ and inflatables for the kids. No registration is required for this event, so make plans to come by anytime between 5:30 and 8 p.m. on Friday, October 27.

Samford is also offering a Homecoming Lecture Series where alumni can relive their days as a student and get to know some of our world-class faculty as they speak on specialized topics. Learn about the world of AI, the tombs of Egyptian kings and more! Check out the Homecoming website for the times and maps of these lectures that will take place on Friday afternoon.

On Saturday, October 28, make sure to show up with your bulldog spirit! We will host reunions for the classes of 2013, 1998 and 1973. There will be open houses, an AFROTC 5k, a worship service and tailgates hosted by various schools and departments. After a morning of jam-packed fun, we will head over to Seibert Stadium to watch the Samford Bulldogs take on the Citadel. Make sure to grab your game tickets and pom poms!

Casey Ramey, executive director of alumni and philanthropic engagement, is looking forward to seeing the Samford community coming together for Homecoming weekend. “On behalf of the Samford University Alumni Association, we hope the entire Samford community will join us back on campus for this exciting weekend,” shared Ramey. “Whether you are an alum coming back to campus for the first time since graduation, or attend Homecoming each year, this year’s events will include many new exciting happenings that alumni will not want to miss.”

Make sure to mark your calendars to join us for this special event. We look forward to seeing you
